Fort Denaud Swing Bridge

The Fort Denaud Swing Bridge is a historic swing bridge located in Fort Denaud, Florida. This small community lies in Hendry County between Alva and LaBelle, it is located near the site of the first outpost of U.S. Civilization in Southwest Florida and named for Pierre Denaud.  The bridge spans the Caloosahatchee River and is one of three vehicle swing bridges in Southwest Florida.

Capt. Francis A. Hendry House

The Capt. Francis A. Hendry House in LaBelle, Florida, is a historic residence with significant historical value. Built in 1914, this Frame Vernacular house is located at 512 Fraser Street and holds a special place in local history and is the only surviving building associated with Hendry in the county. Captain Francis A. Hendry: The house was constructed for Capt. Francis A. “Berry” Hendry, who served as a military officer in the Cow Cavalry of the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. He is also known as the founder of the city of LaBelle and the county namesake.

Labelle Gallery & Cultural Center, located near Barron Park in LaBelle FL has a gift shop full of locally crafted items and exhibits oil, watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media paintings, sculptures, and photos from local artists.
